MiGRA Portugal - Associação Portuguesa de Doentes com Enxaqueca e Cefaleias

MiGRA Portugal is a non-profit organization (IPSS) established in 2019, born from the desire of a group of people living with headaches to feel represented and supported. 

Its mission is to represent, support, and defend the interests of patients suffering from migraines and other headaches; 

To promote health literacy, particularly concerning migraines and headaches; 

To raise awareness among the general population, employers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers about the impact and needs of these neurological conditions; 

To contribute to improving the quality of life, diagnosis, follow-up, and treatment of patients with migraines and headaches; 

To develop and support scientific research projects related to these conditions. 

It develops various patient support projects and awareness campaigns within society. MiGRA Portugal has several commercial partnerships in various fields, offering advantages to its members.  

It provides a helpline – MiGRA Responde – and, through its digital platforms, delivers simple and reliable information about headaches, promoting health literacy for those living with these conditions. The association is part of the Saúde em Diálogo Platform, the National Health Convention, SIP Portugal, and the EMHA - European Migraine and Headache Alliance.
